President McCaffrey selected as an honoree of the 2024 Most Influential Business Women Award

вʿª½± is proud to announce that President Dr. Dena McCaffrey has been selected by the St. Louis Business Journal as an honoree of the 2024 Most Influential Business Women Award. This awards program was established in 1999 and annually recognizes the accomplishments of the region's women business leaders.

вʿª½± Dean’s List Announced for Spring 2024

вʿª½± Vice President of Student Services, Kimberly Harvey-Manus, has announced the Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 semester, containing the names of 671 students who earned the academic recognition.

To qualify for the Dean’s List honor, full-time students must achieve a grade point average of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in at least 12 graded credit hours taken that semester. Part-time students who accumulate 12 or more graded credit hours with a 3.25 grade point average also qualify and must contact the Vice President of Student Services Office within ten days of grade reporting to be included.

William Woods Partnership

вʿª½± (JC) established a partnership with William Woods University (WWU) that paved the way to promote associate degree completion at вʿª½±; establish articulation agreements for graduates to transfer to WWU; and provide graduates, employees, and alumni a more affordable opportunity to pursue a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree program at WWU in July of 2023.

Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum

Samantha Strite was one of 80 collegiate students nominated to represent вʿª½± during the annual Missouri Governor’s Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values held February 16-18, 2024, in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The Forum challenges students’ character development by encouraging them to reflect on their own decision-making skills, values, and belief systems. Students learn about how to reconcile relationships, stand for truth, and love others as they love themselves. The Forum’s guiding principle is teaching students to embrace altruism rather than egotism.

Women's Cross Country Team Earns Second-Place Finish at Nationals

In just the first year of having a Cross Country program at вʿª½±, the Women’s team earned 71 points and placed second at the 2023 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Huntsville, Alabama.

Team members who participated in the race were Sadie Brandt, Reagan Edwards, Lauren Hartman, Sophia Miller, Lucero Orozco, Hanna Spoon, and Kenzie Fulliam.

The Vikings saw three student-athletes earn All-America honors.
1-5 Finishers = First Team, 6-10 = Second Team, 11-15 = Honorable Mention

9th: Reagan Edwards, Second Team

10th: Lauren Hartman, Second Team

14th: Sadie Brandt, Honorable Mention
